DJI Ronin-MX FREEDOM TO MOVE
A slip ring allows the DJI Ronin-MX to rotate 360° continuously when mounted to aircraft or vehicles, opening up more creative options. This is further enhanced by an increase in tilt axis range from 90° straight down and beyond to 135°. Popular features of the Ronin series such as the three modes of operation and SmoothTrack™ are also present, giving film makers a range of creative angles and movements.
3 OPERATION MODES
3 different modes of operation allow the DJI Ronin-MX to be used in different scenarios, all of which can be entered without changing settings on the Ronin Assistant app or a 2nd operator remote. SmoothTrack functionality remains in all three modes.
Flip the gimbal over to bring the camera closer to eye level for a higher perspective without straining to lift it. Use this mode when sticking the Ronin out of a car’s sunroof or when trying to shoot over a crowd of people.
The default gimbal operation is the Underslung mode. The camera can be comfortably held low to the ground, at chest level or anywhere in between. This mode is also used when the DJI Ronin-MX is suspended from a camera jib or crane.
When a slimmer gimbal profile is needed, i.e. when moving through doorways or narrow paths, Briefcase mode is ideal. It allows the gimbal to be held to the side and close to the legs, much like a briefcase.
HIGH BUILD QUALITY
Made from precision machined aircraft-grade aluminum, the DJI Ronin-MX offers the durability to withstand rugged use on set and meets the high demand for reliability. No loose cables or zip ties give it a clean, professional appearance.
MOBILE BLUETOOTH ASSISTANT SOFTWARE
The feature-rich iOS and Android DJI Assistant software allows easy setup of all system configurations. The PC and Mac Assistant also provides control of all the Ronin’s functionalities in addition to firmware upgrades for future features.
SIMPLE 5-MINUTE SETUP
With a little practice, the Ronin takes less than 5 minutes to set up and balance whenever the camera configuration is changed. This saves time, making the Ronin more efficient in professional environments where every second counts. The built-in ATS (Auto Tune Stability) technology intelligently tunes the DJI Ronin-MX to your camera rig at the touch of a button.
SUPPORTS A MULTITUDE OF CAMERAS AND LENSES
The DJI Ronin-MX is not customized for any specific camera. It can be easily adjusted to carry everything from small & light M4/3 cameras to heavier systems like the Red Epic.
The DJI Zenmuse gimbals were the first commercially available systems in the world to utilize brushless motor technology for professional filming and aerial photography. The Zenmuse gimbal line has long been a benchmark that others have been measured against. The Ronin is based off the same technology and also offers multiple control modes, a built-in IMU, and customized direct drive brushless motors.
