FREEDOM TO MOVE
A slip ring allows the Ronin-MX to rotate 360° continuously when mounted to aircraft or vehicles, opening up more creative options. This is further enhanced by an increase in tilt axis range from 90° straight down and beyond to 135°. Popular features of the Ronin series such as the three modes of operation and SmoothTrack™ are also present, giving film makers a range of creative angles and movements.
3 OPERATION MODES
3 different modes of operation allow the Ronin to be used in different scenarios, all of which can be entered without changing settings on the Ronin Assistant app or a 2nd operator remote. SmoothTrack functionality remains in all three modes.
Flip the gimbal over to bring the camera closer to eye level for a higher perspective without straining to lift it. Use this mode when sticking the Ronin out of a car’s sunroof or when trying to shoot over a crowd of people.
The default gimbal operation is the Underslung mode. The camera can be comfortably held low to the ground, at chest level or anywhere in between. This mode is also used when the Ronin is suspended from a camera jib or crane.
When a slimmer gimbal profile is needed, i.e. when moving through doorways or narrow paths, Briefcase mode is ideal. It allows the gimbal to be held to the side and close to the legs, much like a briefcase.
